Brian Graham: Goin’ Down the Road with Robert Frank.
Lot’s of photos of the master building stuff with his shirt off taken by his friend and longtime assistant. Goes down easy.
THE WINONA BOOK: Robert Rich.
I’ll admit that I was on the hunt for this book more for the hunt than the actual photos but it’s a pretty good book. It’s a bunch of behind the scenes photos of Winona hanging out at the Marc Jacobs store secret room over the years which is fun because its Winona Ryder, and that’s enough for me. Claire tracked this down for me somewhere in NYC, good luck finding one if you have a Winona obsession.
PICK-UP STICKS by RYAN COLLINS
I got this one as a present for our skateboard/snowboard obsessed 16 year old and he loves it. We discovered this snowboard crew called Dustbox on Youtube and have been watching everything they put out. I’d guess this is basically the stills from those films and it definitely makes me wish I was a teenager at least for one more winter. Check out that link above and get obsessed with the Dustboxers like we are
GLEN LUCHFORD - ROSELAND
I bought this one for myself and it’s pretty pointless and I probably spent too much money on it. Without knowing too much I would guess they just printed every photo from an editorial of Kate Moss (not mad about that part) and made it into a book. The best photo is on the cover of course. I don’t regret any photo books I purchase because I truly do enjoy them all but this is one that will probably skyrocket in value and I’ll just sell it but I will forget to actually ever look to see if it goes up in value or ever get around to actually selling it so in the bookshelf it goes.
Bystander: A History of Street Photography
This book is a classic and was surprised we didn’t already have it. If you like street photography and reading a lot about street photography you probably already own this.
That’s all for now… what did y’all get yourselves or loved ones? I’m a photo book fanatic so if you ever want to chat then hit me up. Let’s sip tea and nerd out.
Best,
Jeremy.
